Hot Men in Kilts

k2Well, not really. But thanks to my co-worker, Becky S. for sharing this website!

Amerikilt, according to the description :

We found our inspiration in the Scottish kilt and made it All-American. Durable fabrics and top-notch workmanship combined with a unique style and ultimate comfort – all made for an affordable price. We originated the detachable sporran of the same fabric that’s included with your AmeriKilt. The Metropolitan Museum of Art saw fit to include our Black AK in their collection of kilts. It’s all pretty cool.

You call it cool, AK, I call it….I have no idea what I call it. I didn’t know there were a large number of American men who, uh, like to air out their stuff that way.  Whatever floats your boats, American-men-in-kilts. Check out the website for more scintillating pictures of (*drumroll please) AMERICAN MEN IN KILTS.

UPDATED: It gets better. The company is based in Cheltenham, PA. Okay, I need to meet these people.

  1. I don’t know what it is but some women dig kilts. A friend of mine and I were having a discussion about this very topic. This is what I would look like in a kilt, supposedly. Shopped my head on some kilt wearers body and my friends head on the other:

  4. Hey there,
As a natural Scot, anything that is not a Scottish Kilt is a dress or a skirt.

Have a wee look at true Scots on blog

  5. A friend of mine wore his khaki AmeriKilt to a party I attended recently. It was a good hour before anyone realized he was actually wearing a kilt! Once they did, not one person (there were many) at this party of adult, mostly mature, individuals did not like it. In fact, I liked it so much I’ll be ordering one very soon. They’re made of a heavyweight canvas-like fabric with a high, thick waist and just look so damned comfortable! He said his AmeriKilt was a little stiff at first, but after a couple of washes, softened right up and is his favored casual wear.
BTW: he is a “natural Scot” and does not insist that this is not a kilt, like Scozzie. This is an “American kilt”. Just because it’s not tartan, does not mean it’s not a kilt! In the good ‘ol USofA, it can be rather daunting to wear a full Scottish kilt anywhere but a festival, parade, or a police funeral. The AmeriKilt can be worn just about anywhere casual without being made to feel out of place!
