Of propellor accidents.
So my coworker yesterday told me the story of one Dmitri Tertyshny, a former Philadelphia Flyer who died after he fell overboard a motorboat and got his neck sliced by the engine’s propellor blades. “The boat hit a wave and caused him to fall forward overboard. The boat ran over him and its propeller slashed his neck and his jugular vein.” (My coworker’s kid plays in the same ice hockey league as Tertyshny’s son.)
Since then, I’ve spent the better part of the morning clutching my neck in a protective manner. I came across this website, which terrified me even more. Okay, no more motorboats for me.
