I'm surprised you didn't recognize me - and Bill Brooks, of course - in picture No.4. This was taken shortly before we retired from the force to become teachers. I'm the one in the sidecar. I accidentally shot Brooks in the butt while we were posing for this picture. It's said that he was never quite the same after that.

Actually, my recollection of kicks in during the era of Willie "The Actor" Sutton. His escape from Homesberg Prison - when I was just a wee laddie - made him an overnight sensation in my neighborhood. My buddies and me (I'm intentionally using the objective case here for effect) all knew if we worked real hard at it, we would someday be as successful as Willie. Sadly, most of us became typically lifelong mundane members of the great American middle class. *sigh*

PS. Hoping that I don't appear sexist, I must say that Jocelyn Kirsch doesn't have the class to be placed in the same gallery with the rest of these Thugs With Dirty Mugs.

Somewhat off the topic of your shameless job solicitations, I've "been around" for all of the above, and it makes me feel all warm and syrupy inside to visually reminisce. Thanks, PG.
