Wow…does that bring back memories. I didn’t know anyone still hung their clothes out to dry. Be gone, fabric softener!
Oh yeah, in the summer the whole row of houses in that picture will be filled with clothes. Immigrants don’t play with the gas bill, lol.
OMG…the smell (the fragrance, that is) alone makes watching just cleaned clothes hanging on a line a zen like experience. It’s nice to hear that you appreciates that stuff…:)
Oh, and I almost forgot; but where are the clothes pins – and I’m talking about the wooden ones – and the white canvas clothes pin bag?
There was no breeze, so no clothespin. But trust me, it’s hanging to the left, outside the frame. Seriously.
That lets me know that the planets are in alignment and that the universe is at it should be…:) Do you ever hang clothes for your mom? I used to sometimes, but I could never get the hang (“hang” get it, get it?) of hanging the sheets the way my mother wanted them hung. I was okay with towels but I sucked with sheets.
