Why is there a lack of co-op games lately? It’s really getting on my nerves. I was in a game store with my cousin the other day searching for a game that we both could play together besides Gears of War. Whatever happened to the old games from Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis? Does anyone remember Streets of Rage, Double Dragon or the old Ninja Turtle games? It seems as though game developers forgot how to make good games where you can team up with your buddies and take on baddies together on one screen. Now it’s “2 – 4 players online”. WHAT THE F*CK? Ok, there are 4 ports on the goddamn console for 4 goddamn controllers. Can I please have a goddamn 4 player game? And I’m not talking about some FPS (First Person Shooter), I want a simple side scroller game with the camera at a tilted ariel view.
After about almost an hour of searching, my eyes came across a box that said Ninja Turtles. FINALLY! Or so I thought. I looked in the back of the box only to find that this game was a single player game. That really pissed me off considering the fact that there’s 4 f*ckin turtles (which would also make sense since there’s 4 ports on the console). I mean seriously, is it supposed to be this difficult? Every game that we picked up looked like something that would be suitable for more than one player. Pictures of Vikings slaughtering monsters and soldiers shooting aliens, but none of them offered co-op. Continue reading
